I recently had my surgery on 11-13-19 and so far so good. Since beginning my journey back in February I have been nothing but pleased with the doctor, staff, and hospital stay. They are truly wonderful! So caring and friendly and always checking up to make sure I’m doing well and staying on track. I highly recommend NYBG anyone wanting to make this type of change in their life.
Dr.Nusbaum has been part of my weight loss journey since I was in my early 20's. I was unhappy, uncomfortable, and lost on what options I had. As a young adult, I was also ashamed to talk about my weight and the struggles I was having. Once I went into my first consultation, I knew I was in good hands, every single person in the office made me feel comfortable and welcomed. Years went by ans...

My surgery is on Wednesday, Dec. 2. I'm a little nervous but also excited about the future. I'm looking forward to feeling and looking better. There isn't a lot of info about the DS on this site so I'll try to...

I'm providing this info because when I was doing research on the subject, I wanted to see as many results as possible. I'm happy I did the gastric sleeve. It was a rough transition (essentially retraining your mind HOW to eat) at first, but I'm getting used to it. Still have 30-40lbs left to goal I’m now down 70lbs from my weight last year (215 to 145) and feel good. There are some c...
Surgery with Dr. Gregory Dakin and Weill-Cornell could not have gone any better. At 10 months post op, I’m down 110 pounds and 17 pounds from my goal weight, 10 pounds from a normal BMI. Thus far, I haven’t had any real complications. Initial recovery is difficult but I turned the corner at around 4 months post op and started eating more and going to the gym. Liz is a phenomenal nut...
On 6/26/2019 I got a sleeve gastrectomy with doctor Parish at Bellevue Hospital in NYC. Doctor parish was excellent very caring and made me feel comfortable in the OR and at recovery. My starting weight was 206lbs 5’2” today I am 145lbs. My insurance paid for my surgery but if had to I would’ve paid out of pocket. This was the best decision I made. I am so happy with my new body. I’m so much...
